When playing a tournament all openings are the same.

I wonder if someone could help me, whe I setup a tournament, I point Baksia Gui to perfectbook2017.bin, but when tournament starts use the same opening for every game, is there a way to change this? tx in advance

Very strange!
This happens to me, but without book.
Seems that your book isn't loaded. Does play moves instantly?

For example most Stockfish derivatives without book play very often the same boring Spanish:

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Nf6 4.O-O Nxe4 5.Re1 Nd6 6.Bf1 Be7 7.Nxe5 Nxe5 8.Rxe5 O-O 9.d4 Bf6 10.Re1 Re8 11.c3 Rxe1 12.Qxe1 Ne8 13.Bf4 d5 *

You can add the same opening book .bin or .pgn for all engines of specify a different book (Polyglot .bin) on engine configuration if it's supported.

Starting a new tournament, now I have your same issue. Book openings seem persistent : same variation also changing opening library . A workaround could be to delete the library, start a new tournament, re-select another opening and restart a new tournament, but I thing that Pham must investigate this problem and improve the opening features adding a big BSG native opening library customizable in move depth (the optimum would be to add also support to read CTG and ABK , I think that there are some open source hacks to do that)

Workaround: You must (temporary, you will restart with same engines and options) click "new tournament". From settings (book, adjudication, tablebases tournament panel group of options) remove every opening book. Click start and verify that no automatic opening book is played at beginning. Then reload previous tournament with Perfect 2017. It works for me, just started a new tournament and I was having your same issue.

Pham, the BSG author, seems very busy but he has told on Talkchess that he will return to chess programming this year. He will read all your bug reports and feature requests and will fix bugs, I'm sure.
