Hi dear chess engines fans!

Lichess.org is an incredible and very stable open source FREE server where you can watch live games simply using your preferred browser, featuring statistics, ranking lists and useful tools. As well as games between 100.000 human players, there are 150 chess bots of every strength: 1800 ELO up to 3400 ELO to challenge. Usual time controls are: bullet (1+0 |1), blitz (3+0 |1), rapid (8+0 |1) or classical (25+0 |1) . You need to use BanksiaGui Lichess client or better the BotLi Python script (if you are a skilled user) . I'm available to explain you how to easily configure your bot, if you doesn't understand the complete video tutorial on bottom, just leave me a comment here, explaining your issue.
Right now I'm playing with all Top bots, but I'm available to also play will all original engines, if you like.

ProteusSF-Aureo and my other bots are online 24/7. Enjoy!

Strockfish, LC0, Berserk, Dragon, Cheng, Mantissa, Arasan, Expositor, Weiawaga, Saxton, Pawn, Lynx, Eubos ... Andrew it would be nice to have also a Torch 2 Instance there! ProteusSF-Aureo 240405 Core2 Duo 2.4 Ghz (130 kN/s) vs Rubichess 240112 8 CPUs (7.3 MN/s)

Result: +4 / 22

Armageddon Handicap Test (1/75 of Rubichess computing power) Classical 25+1 games completed.

Now I switch to Ethereal 14.32 github tests.

I expect a better performance by ProteusSF-Aurora 240405 since Ethereal strenght without NNUE is extimated 2500 Lichess.org ELO :)

Many thanks to No-Stockfish-Bots to accomplish to my requests, letting me to choose the opponents.

Etherlito is a clear joke, making fun of the expected future shitty clones. Which came true exactly as I predicted. You running it is top irony.
Congratulations! It's a very strong engine to be a joke and the code is very easy to understand even for a dummy cloner like me.
It is compatible with all Stockfish 20530 kb NNUEs. I expect a lot of fun for me on modding it!

I will publish here and on BanksiaGui forum (only the contents without spam) my last surprising results.

All top engines use NNUE or NN even if they are not stockfish(lc0 is using NN and not NNUE)

I read that Weiss is the best engine that does not use NNUE in TCEC when Xiphos 0.6 64-bit 4CPU is the CCRL leader of not stockfish version that do not use NNUE

CCRL has

56‑57 Xiphos 0.6 64-bit 4CPU 3385
58‑59 Weiss 2.0 64-bit 4CPU 3380

I think Stockfish11 is the last non developement version of stockfish that does not use NNUE and is clearly stronger than them and also older versions of stockfish are stronger then them:
Stockfish 11 64-bit 4CPU 3548
Stockfish 10 64-bit 4CPU 3528
Stockfish 9 64-bit 4CPU 3490
Stockfish 8 64-bit 4CPU 3438
Stockfish 7 64-bit 4CPU 3386
Thank you, you are a wonderful source of infos!! I will test also Weiss an Xiphos LIVE on Lichess.org.

Note: If somebody has commercial Ethereal 14.25 NNUE i'd like to challenge it too on Lichess.org :)

..Since Torch 2 is a ghost, I'm spreading to the public the name of the other Andrew's jewel. I'm Ethereal fan #1, note that Ethereal is before Proteus :)

Thrilling challenge against ArasanX ! After 27 games the score is 13.5-13.5, So the EXTIMATED rating Classical 25+1 of Ethereal Proteus NNUE is 3426 ELO according to CEGT Rating list, (not to Lichess.org unreliable rating) only ~100 ELO less than Rubichess 240112 (2518 ELO) and Ethereal 14.25 NNUE (2532 ELO) and I have only tuned the time management and the UCI settings, until now :)

Rubichess 240112 (no mods) is losing a lot of games by time, even on 25+1 time control, so I've restarted the test using 25+5.
It always use all the time available, and that is bad since if on servers there is a lag it cannot manage those critical situations.

Despite both Andreas think, a lot of people is playing bullet and blitz on servers. Probably nobody uses their engines for this issue

Wow! Ethereal Proteus NNUE (aka Etherlito Pro) is doing really well even against Rubichess 240112 (2518 ELO ), better than expected!!

NOTE: I will not count all the games lost for time by both engines :)

Has somebody Ethereal 14.25 NNUE (even on Playchess) so I can challenge it online? I was about to buy it but I don't want to feed the trolls. 8-)

Rubichess-240112 vs Ethereal Proteus NNU8 8-1

Image

ALL 57 GAMES IN PGN

NOTE: After checking the games, I have verified that Rubichess has big issues on all time controls giving away draw and won games! Often It loses for time using all the time available  I have assigned the right score anyway and I confirm that it is stronger than Ethereal Proteus NNUE, at least on a direct comparative.

Switching to Berserk 13 that is #4 on SPCC, ahead commercials Dragon 3.3 and Ethereal 14.25 :D

Ethereal Proteus NNUE vs Berserk 13 - CLASSICAL 25 + 0

Started a new online challenge against Jay Hannold's Berserk 13 (3751 ELO #4 on SPCC only behind Stockfish-dev, Stockfish 16.1 and Torch 2). Until now only one lost game for my engine, and Berserk 13 is perfectly stable, never losing for time even with no increment after every move, so it's not my or a Lichess.org lag issue :)

As expected, Berserk 13 (2751 ELO on SPCC) is much stronger than Ethereal Proteus NNUE on long time games CLASSICAL 25 + 0 - Result +6 / 40 games

Since my mod is based on Ethereal 12.69 no-NNUE (2406 ELO CCRL) a performance of 2544 ELO like ArasanX is already very good for me, after changing only the time controls and some UCI settings!

Image

ALL 40 GAMES IN PGN

NOTE: This time I have experimented some crashes with Ethereal Proteus NNUE, leading to lost games. I have removed them, but you can verify the complete related Lichess.org games history, that obviously I cannot alterate.

Next test is against Rebel 16.3 Classical 25+0 :D
