SuperBlitz All top Engines on BanksiaGui

Post by AlexChess »

November 2, 2021 - 73 top chess engines 3100-3700 ELO Enlarge browser size for optimal view or download crosstable!

Image

Tournament rules: 300 secs /40 + 300 secs /40 + 1 sec /all. Opening books M13.4.bin, Goi040121.bin, Komodo.bin , Tablebases Sygyzy, NNUE and/or MCTS enabled if availables. I add new engines, update existing ones (also replacing NNUEs if compatibles, for fine tuning each engine) and I remove weaker engines. I keep in the tournament the updated engines only if there isn't a regression in the performance.

Fat Tits 1.1 310821 + M13.4 bin book is still first! SF-PB 291021 + M13.4 bin book is second, Redfish 210921 no book is third!

New entries: ShashChess 19.1, BrainLearn 14.1 + M13.4 book, Stockfish 14.1, SF-PB + M13.4 book and Fritz 17 (build 2019 by Frank Schneider, the last original Chessbase engine before Stockfish Fat Fritz 2 clones). Removed Zahak 7.1 (8.0 no more compatible with my system due to avx extentions). Added Goi040121.bin and chessdb.cn book openings to engines supporting them and not having a native library.

Privately testing without sharing also the not GPLv3 compliant Stockfish derivatives only for statistical purposes.

Next update will include: CorChess 2 NN 011121 compiled by IVEC, Raubfisch X47d2a., Fat Fritz 2 231021, Koivisto 7, ShashChess 19.2, Minic 3.17, BlueMarlin 14.4 Aggressor, SwordFish 14.4 Tactic.

Note: IT'S BEYOND HUMANS COMPUTER ELO based on SPCC rating list range, not human players ELO!

Interesting Tournament! How fast is the hardware?
Windows 11 ARM64 4 CPUs running on Mac mini M1 via Parallels Desktop 17 virtualization or macOS 12 Monterey M1 (2-3 times faster)

2-20 Mn/s depending on opening | middle game | endgame phase - I cannot use pext, AVX or BM2 (only popcount sse3 | sse41 | sse42 or native WinARM64 engines) but most rating lists are playing simultaneus games with only 1-4 CPUs instead of exploiting 24+ CPUs up to 60 Mn/s potential... So it's not so slow on average :)

hi Akex, will you test Kayra 1.1 too?

I created a kayra.bin book. Download on my homepage. I hope that the author implements polyglot support. Then we could make the book stronger. I would play on the server and eliminate existing errors. I could use Stockfish PB, but I'd prefer Kayra.

Yes 1.0 seems already really strong and can't wait to test 1.1 with your book!
Mehmet could easily use SF PB instead of SF-dev (they are identical except PB) and add the same changes to implement Kayra 1.1 modifications. On BSG seems that I can use Kayra.bin for all engines, but not only for Kayra 1.1 (or you know how?) ...I have also tried Polyglot adapter but it doesn't work for me and anyway people say that it slowdown the engines.

Best regards, Alex

It would be nice if I could optimize the Kayra.bin book. I played the games with a CTG book. I made Kayra.bin out of that. You have to know that, for example, all draw variants always apply to both sides. This means that the Kayra book also plays draw variants that come from the opponent. In my CTG book, I therefore edit such variants manually! It works very well under Fritz. The Kayra.bin book is not yet optimized. Kayra should support Polyglot so that I can play games and then edit the book by hand with SCID.

Yes, I hope that we will cooperate to make Kayra #1 ;) I don't understand why not all authors release their engine with a tuned opening library included.

If Mehmet releases Kayra 1.2 without Polyglot support, I will compile another version similar to what I did with PB 1.1
