Re: Extreme Analysis node error?
Thanks for the report. I have been struggling to reproduce the issue. I don't have the exact 11 games of Bobby Exchange Lopez. Instead, I have downloaded 12 games from Lichess (at https://lichess.org/study/uueHZZeY). The ECA tree has been expanded to 708 nodes and looks reasonable. Could you try wit...

Re: Problem with FRC PGN
Thanks for the report.
There are two problems with that game:
- PGN missing the tag Variant
- BSG has a bug in the second castle move (20. ... O-O-O)
The bug has been fixed for the next release

Re: feature requests: Support from different opening books
Thanks for the suggestion. BSG has supported some book formats: - PGN. Mainly for tournaments - EPD. Mainly for tournaments - Polyglot (.bin) - OOBS (Open Opening Book Standard, .obs.db3) BSG also supports some online books (from Lichess and chessdb). We won't support other books such as CTG, ABK, B...

Re: How to autoplay
To make an engine play, you need to create an engine match or a tournament. Create an engine match: - Create a new game (menu -> File -> New Game) - In the Game setup dialog box, select engines for both sides - Click OK Create a tournament: - Open New Tournament dialog box (menu -> Tournaments -> Ne...

Re: Score Indicator Not Working?
On my computer, the score bar works well. Did you see the cursor (the green rectangle on the left side of the board) moving? Typically, it moves clearly for unbalance games.

Re: Doubling number of games in my SuperBlitz editing banksiaplaying.jos
"Games per pair" is just a record, using when generating only, not affect to the current number of generated games.
I think the easiest way is to generate a new and similar tournament then merge it to the current one to have double games.

Re: A few questions about Banksia GUI..
Hey there, I've recently moved from Arena Chess to Banksia for creating engine vs engine matches. I really like this GUI, but I'm having a few problems doing some of the things I usually do in Arena and was wondering if someone could please help me. Thanks for using and feedback. 1) I set up a 4x4 ...

It will be a long explanation. I am going to create a new topic for it. I need time to write too (I am not good at writing). At the moment, you may read the blog about it first.

Q: Why engines have the field color? What does it use for?
A: Colors are widely used for visual tasks with engines thus users can quickly distinguish between engines. They are:
- Arrows (thinking arrows)
- Graphs

Q: How to install and run Banksia GUI?
A: You don’t need to install it. After downloading, it is just a zip file, you may unzip it by any zip tool and it is ready to run.
To run BanksiaGUI, just find and run the executive file. It is banksiagui.exe for Windows, BanksiaGui for macOS and Linux.

Re: Open-Source?
BSG has two parts. The core with all important chess functions, libraries has been released already as an open-source (at https://github.com/nguyenpham/Banksia) and it can run as a chess tournament manager in the form of a console app. Only the front/graphics part is still closed source. As I have m...

Re: MultiPV Display Bug
Thank for the feedback.
BSG has not supported MultiPV yet. It is a feature in my to-do list for a while. I will work with it soon.
If you/other people want a deep analysis, consider to use ECA feature.
